Clergy Conferences & Retreats
Clergy in Southern Virginia are invited and expected to attend two annual clergy events held at our diocesan camp and retreat center, Chanco on the James. Clergy who are unable to attend should notify bishop@diosova.org in advance of the event.

Fall Clergy Retreat: Oct 19 – 21, 2026 at Chanco on the James.
Bishop Haynes expects clergy to take advantage of this opportunity for renewal, reflection, and fellowship. Clergy who are unable to attend should notify bishop@diosova.org in writing in advance of the gathering.

Registration
Overnight attendee – $300
Commuter attendee – $125
Scholarship funds are available to assist clergy in the Diocese of Southern Virginia with registration fees for Diocesan Clergy Conferences and Clergy Retreats. In most cases the following standard will be applied to scholarship requests: applicant’s congregation/organization contributes 60% of the cost and the diocese contributes 40% of the cost.
