Below is a partial list of the offerings for youth leaders in the 2010-2011 program year.  

Happening Alumni Reunion

November 12-14, 2010 at Chanco on the James

Join Happening alumni from all over our diocese for a weekend of reconnection, relaxation and refreshment! Learn more about exciting developments in the Happening program, share memories and experience great worship and activities. 

YOU MUST BE A HAPPENING ALUMNI TO ATTEND.

ACCOMODATIONS AND MEALS: Conference center rooms with private bath and linens provided.  Chalets are optional.  All meals on Saturday and breakfast and lunch on Sunday included, except for commuters (breakfast and lunch only).

Youth Leader Gathering

January 28-29, 2011 at Chanco on the James

Program begins with dinner at 6:00 p.m. on Friday and ends at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday

$50.00

Gather together with other adults who work with youth for a time of reflection, resource sharing and refreshment.  Try out new activities and worship for use with your youth group and problem solve common issues in youth ministry.

Open Planning and Strategy Workshop for Youth Leaders

July 23, 2011 in Williamsburg

10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

NO FEE TO ATTEND- LUNCH INCLUDED

Bring your calendar and planning materials for the 2010-2011 program year and spend a day strategizing an effective program for your youth group with the Youth Missioner and other youth leaders in our diocese.

Episcopal Youth Event (EYE)

June 22-26, 2011 at Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota

$400.00 includes transportation

The Episcopal Youth Event (EYE) was begun in 1982 and embraced by The 67th General Convention of The Episcopal Church as an international event in which ”…the energy of the youth of the Episcopal Church can continue to be utilized in active ministry as members of this part of the Body of Christ.” 

EYE is open to all 109 dioceses and 3 regional areas of The Episcopal Church and is for youth who are in grades 9-12 during the 2010-2011 academic year, as well as their adult sponsors.  One of the largest gatherings in the Episcopal Church, typically more than 1500 people join together for a week of fellowship, worship and mission.

ACCOMODATIONS AND MEALS: Dorm rooms at Bethel University.  All meals included.

DEADLINE TO APPLY IS MAY 1, 2011.

Retreats and Workshops with Guest Speakers
