Diocesan Committees

The Episcopal Diocese of Southern Virginia has many committees and commissions on which laity and clergy participate and have an active role in our church. The members of our committees and commissions work together to support the programs and services that benefit our parishes, members and ministries in our diocese. In Southern Virginia, these include:

Commission on Ministry (Canon XII) - Under Commission on Ministry, there are four committees (spelled out in the Canons): Committee on Formation for the Ministry of the Baptized, Committee on Diocesan Formation for Ordination, Committee on Seminary and Diaconal Formation for Ordination and Committee on Priests and Deacons.
