Creating Safe Churches

Safe Church training is grounded in our call to seek and serve Christ in all persons and respect the dignity of every human being. This training provides an opportunity to increase and enhance our ability to live out our Baptismal Covenant within our communities of faith and in the world beyond.  The children’s module is available online.  The adult module is only available live at this time.  A certificate is issued to each individual upon completion of the course module.  Current policy requires re-certification every three years.

The Office of the Canon for Formation is available to assist you in implementation of these standards in your parishes and schools.
